The Wilson Story

From little things, big things have grown!

Starting out as a hobby back in the 1980’s Wilson (WA) Pty Ltd is today owned and operated by Ian & Laura Wilson, and along with a great team of people comprises of Wilson Machinery, Wilson Wrecking and Wilson Sales.

Ian’s parents Gary & Jean Wilson made the move from Green Range to Torbay along with their four children in 1981. In 1983 the business was started with the farm land changing as the wrecking yard grew, and Gary designing and developing the machinery we are still known for today.

Youngest son Ian was learning the ropes along the way and went on to train as an Ag plant mechanic. With an incredible memory like his Dad, and also skilled in knowing what works and what doesn’t, he went on to develop the Wrecking and Repair side of the business.

After many years at the helm Gary & Jean retired in 2014. The business continues on with Ian now designing and developing our range of quality locally built machinery. With Ian now managing both the Manufacture and Wrecking sides, and Laura trying to ‘manage’ Ian!

Now in its 37th year, Wilson (WA) Pty Ltd continues to design, develop and manufacture machinery on site here in Torbay, and the ever changing wrecking yard continues to grow, dismantling a huge range of tractors and agricultural machinery which are shipped Australia wide.

It has to be seen to be believed!
